If only starting up your own business was that easy, I'm sure Sue Turney Managing Director from Aspire Personnel would say there is a lot more involved.
Aspire are a recruitment agency who have just celebrated their 1st year in business. Sue Turney moved into i2 Office's, Luminous House location in Central Milton Keynes in May 2010.
The Challenge
Aspire needed an office where they could concentrate on their business and not have to worry about the property elements. Having a fixed overhead helped to budget.
The location needed to be central in Milton Keynes with easy access for those seeking work to visit and register. To portray the right image to clients the building had to be modern, professional and friendly. With cost effective meeting rooms and break out areas.
The Solution
i2 Office were able to provide a 2 – 3 person office and IT connectivity at a competitive rate. The building having opened just over 6 months before Aspire moved in was fitted out to a high standard with lots of natural daylight.
Luminous house has break out areas which are great for impromptu meetings for form filling etc. and professional meeting rooms for more formal presentations and negotiations.
Aspire were able to start off on a 6 month licence agreement meaning they were not tied in to a lengthy and expensive lease helping reduce the risk factor when starting a new business. There was not a huge deposit or security to find which would have eaten into the cash flow.
All the facilities normally only available to a larger businesses were provided at i2 Office, including reception services, office cleaning and hot beverages on free vend. 24hour access meant you can also be flexible with your working hours when you need to be.
The Result
Aspire have successfully completed their first year in business and are growing strong with established clients, a great portfolio of success stories and are expanding with the introduction of more part time staff.
